Ⅰ. Fujian
Statistical Yearbook 2005 is
an annual statistics publication, which covers very comprehensive data in 2004 and
some selected data in previous years since 1949 at provincial and regional
levels and in different departments and therefore, reflects various aspects of
social and economic development in Fujian province.
Ⅱ. The
yearbook contains the following eighteen parts, 1. General Survey; 2.
National Economy Accouting; 3. Population and Labor Force; 4. Investment in
Fixed Assets; 5. People's Livelihood; 6. Price Indices; 7.Finance; 8.
Agriculture; 9. Industry; 10. Construction; 11. Transportation, Postal and
Telecommunication Services; 12. Wholesales, Retail Sales,
and Food Service; 13. Foreign Trade and International Tourism; 14. Science and
Technology,Education,Culture and Publishing; 15. Sports, Public Health and Others;
16. Main Economic Indicators of City Prefecture and County; 17. General
Situation of Enterprises; 18. Enterprise Survey. In the appendices listed are Main
Social and Economic Indicators of Hong Kong and Macao and Taiwan; A Comparison
of Indicators of Economy and Society Among People’s Republic of China and Other
Counties; Statistical Communique of Fujian Economic and Social Development in
2004. In Explanatory Notes on Main Statistical Indicators at the end of each
part, the signification of main statistical indicators, statistical coverage
and statistical methods are concerned.
Ⅲ. The
data in 2004 in this yearbook are formal annual statistical data except for the
data of national economy accouting, investment in fixed assets(exclude the
investment in fixed assets in rural), trade and the total output of
industry which are quick statistical
data (or predicted data). The formal annual statistical data of those will be
published on Fujian Statistical Yearbook 2006.
Ⅳ. Several
historical data are adjusted and revised according to current national
statistical system, thus the data in this yearbook should be regarded as
standard when any difference between the data in this yearbook and those
published before occurs.
Ⅴ. The
data of Jinmen county are not included in this yearbook except for some
additional notes on it.
Ⅵ. Data
source, calculation scope for important statistical data in this yearbook are
noted in each part.
Ⅶ. The
units of measurement in this yearbook are internationally standard measurement
units.
Ⅷ. Statistical
discrepancies due to rounding are not adjusted in this yearbook.
Ⅸ. Notations
used in this yearbook:
“…” indicates that the figure is not large
enough to be measured with the smallest unit in the item;
“(blank)” indicates that the data not
available;
“#” indicates the major items of the total.
Ⅹ. Industrial
enterprises above designated size in this yearbook refer to all state-owned
industrial enterprises and the non state-owned industrial enterprises with an annual
sales income of over 5 million yuan; Enterprises above designated size in
wholesale and retail trade, catering services refer to the wholesale
enterprises (including foreign trade enterprises) with annual sales of over 20
million yuan, the retail enterprises with annual sales of over 5 million yuan,
and the catering enterprises with annual turnover of over 2 million yuan
respectively.
Ⅺ. The
indicator of production value in this yearbook is calculated according to
prices of the year. Growth rate and indices of production value is calculated
according to comparable prices.
Ⅻ.
Growth rates and indices in this yearbook are calculated by “level approach”.
